Your my inspiration

"Your the meaning in my life your the inspiration.."
First line in the Chicago song with pretty much the same name.
But its so true!
Once you found it, you just know. And when you know, I mean is like it goes through your head without a real explain to why it took you sooo long to realize what semes as natural as breathing.

Less then a year a go I was just a toy-shelfp-dust-collecting-stuffy-bear kind of guy - but look at me now. I have a roof over my head, I have frinds all over the world that love and care about me.

After Finland, wow.. that was really something. Ive tried asking Miika what really happuend, but not goten any real answeres.. but what ever it was seemes like it was a good thing.. now days her smile is almost as big as mine and she says she now know what it feels like to be weightless as a bird. My little girl is growing up, becomming as liberal and free as a butterfly.

Was told today that we might be getting in to the book insdustri in a near by future, and also that we´re going to see many of our dear friends soon too..

so what is that girl up to this time?

guessing I can just do as the rest of you - wait and see

Russia and what more?

In late January Miika and me went down to Lidingö in Stockholm to learn some more about Russia. As usual the weekend went by to fast..
But we had a great time and meet so many wonderfull and interesting persons.

So what did we learn?
That the system might be more complext then you might think, but also that there is so much you can do.. All you really need to know is how to drive and operate it ;)
Together with our friend Ingrid from CUF and Lars from Ukrain we have a really interesting prodject on the go.. or actually, knowing us there will be more then just one thing..

What else has happuend this spring? Hmmm..
* We´ve goten a new member in CUF Skellefteå called Jenny.
* We´ve attended Krets stämman were we got a new president: Anders Rutdahl
* We´ve attendes CUF:s DS in Umeå - Elizabeth Skoog was realected President

.. among others

But right now its time for a bears NAAAAAAP.

Springy updates..

Ive been such a bad little green guy..
The whole thing with getting this blog was so I could tell you all about the wonders and trips and truly amazing people that crosses my way. But Looking back on this spring I come to find that Ive faild in doing that.

BUT, I guess there is nothing saying that I can´t steel Miikas computer when she goes to lunch or to the gym later tonight and fill you all in on the blanks no is there?

So, Ill get right on it then. Starting with: The Spring school in Helsinki

That was realllly something, for al of you who missed it - Im so sorry.
Cause we all had a great time.

M:
Arrived in Helsinki and feelt like a "?" were I stood at the centeral station, turned to my left and the smile on my face grew even bigger. There were 2 girls with the exact same paper as me looking just as "?" as I did.. so we decided to go together.
Arrived pretty much in time to check in and get some food. After dinner it was time for culture eavning and beside some interesting food and drinks I learnt how to dance like "Yxii ja Kakksii"
T:
The day included all from info about running a multicultural project, quizes, Cultural experience and finaly a meeting with Finnish center Youth. Miika made friends with the Belgums and Dutch and the night ended pretty late with sauna and all it brings.
W:
Early morning we went in to Helsinki for a visit at the parlament.
I meet with their president too :D well okay, it wasnt the president of Finland, but well the one of Finlands CUF. After parlament we were free to go see and do pretty much anything we wanted. I went with Peter, yxii ja kakksii, chris, astrid, monica and besides visiting the american amasade (also known as Mcdonalds) we meet with Rasmus and Magnus, went on a boattrip and meet with a live statue..
Back at the youthcenter we had dinner and went in to town for some great finnish music, one of Olesja:s favorites. Miika reviled that she looooves to dance and infact does have a fun-crasy side to her...didnt make it back home untill closer to 5 the following morning.. ( did I mention she was with the the dutch, belgum and mr Iceland? )
T:
How do you stay attractive on the job market? first question of the day followed by a visit from Kimmo Sasi (Mp - National Coalition party) who told us more about Finland´s immigration policy. Some coffe, dinner, lectures and the day ended traditionly with - sauna.
F:
The Dutch and Belgums left early for a meeting abrod.. so it was pretty quiet this day. Day started with breakfast and went on with Intergration and immigration (Finnish prespective to EU issu). After that it was time for Sanna Penttinen to enter the stage and tell us some about the national board of education.
Olesja then handed out some workshop material and we were told to prepere a presentation for the following morning. Finiched of most of our work and then it was time to see some more of the finnish nightlife. Went to a new club but must say that we had alot more fun on Wednesday then we did tonight.. Sense we had a presentation the following morning we went home pretty early.
S:
Last day in finland.. Had the week really passed by that fast?
The day started with our group presentations and after that - SUNNY! finally sun =)
We got some free time in Helsinki with the lovely miss Julia as our exellent guid.
She showed us the monument, walked along the seaside and had some great pics taken. ( Miika and mr Baywatch - you looked like pure celeberty, must be the photographer - Astrid your the best!) Back at youthcenter it was time for the final dinner together and last - but not least - SAUNA!
One last chickenrace - guys vs. girl - and it ended in a tie between my girly and mr russia..
Night ended with a nice talk with the now sitting Vice president of LYMEC and some politic discussion with my newly found friends.
S:
Woke up and there was just something wrong.. Miika was running around like a crasy chiken who had just lost its head. But she had all right to, insted of beeing boked on the 13:50 flight, we were boked on the one leaving Helsinki at 11:40!
But no biggy, about 15 minutes after waking up she had packed out bags, we were done with breakfast and was on our way to the airport.. Meet with mr & mrs Iceland and miss swe-ger-bossnia and had a nice little chat with them before it was time to go home.

Back home in Skellefteå it was a quick teatime with mum before getting straight back to work.

Thats my girly!

I would lie if I told you its been an easy fall, but even more if I told you she affraid of fighting for what she wants and belive in.

Yesterday we had the anual meeting with the local CUF in Skellefteå. My good friend Daniel Hedquist was re-elected precident, could we ask for a better guy?
Robin Holmgren was made head of economics, a job I think.. no, correction - I know he´ll do great. The guy had hardly recived his title before he started talking about the new budget!
Rebecca Lindsköld (Miikas kid sister) and Olga Izerman was also elected as members of the board.

And Miika? Well, as from yesterday I can call her "miss vice-president" of the Skellefteå CUF.
Also, Kjell (now former head of economics) informed us that she had been elected president of the north centerparty group in Skellefteå.

More peope to meet, more to learn, more meetings to attend, more actions... more of.. of everything I guess...

Im soooooo exited! (anywere she gets to go - Igo =D )

Wanna join in? Easy, just wisit http://www.cuf.se and your clicks away from doing just that

Busy little Grean guy

Sorry for not writing for so long, just been a really busy time in this green little life of mine. That goes for politics as well as private.

Went down to Lidingö (outside of Stockholm) with Miika this weekend. Meet with both old and new friends from CUF, Centerwomen and our mother party. Saturday and sunday was dedicated to learning and understanding more about Russia - history, politics and everyday life were all part of the lectors topics. Thanks to Lars and his friends we also got to know some more about Ukraine and the orange revolution. Still, all together, it wasn´t a green picture they painted of that big country I must say.. A little green and a smile here and there sure wouldn´t hurt...

But just hearing someone telling you what you do wrong and that you need to change all the time cant really be that much fun either... hmm, think Im just gonna have to think out a CUFFE:r way for us to deal wih this. Did get quit a good - not to say totaly crasy idea from a few of my friends at lunch on sunday ;)

As we went back to Skellefteå sunday night there was alot of thoughts and feelings filling our hearts and minds.. Looking through some og the notes and buisssnescards we both agree my little girly and me that this is something we must act on.

So take 5 and ask your self - DO I care ?

Don´t you just love media?

Found an old tape when we were cleaning out Miikas flat.. the lyrics in one of them might as well be written about todays journalism and media..

"You treat me like a yo-yo - high and low, up and down,
I have to say no,
You´re changing like the weather, we cant be together,
I go solo, I´m not a yo yo
One day you treat me nice, next day your cold as ice,
You just puch me round lift me up and put me down - just like a yo yo"

But beeing that pessemistic is not my thing, and really should not say that when I know that Miika might be one of them this fall..

These last 2 days has been great, have to give them thumbs up! All is going just the way we want it to =) Friday will be even better if Miika and I have something to say about it :P
What we´re up to this time?

hehe, cant tell you right now...
BUT keep in mind, this is the year of change

Finnnnnaly!

Im so sorry it has taken me (us) so long to get started with this blog thing.
It´s not that we havn´t had anyhting to write about - I mean, hey I heard a guy on the radio yesterday reading out load from his blog about what he found in his bellybutten while taking his morning shower... (Pretty much prove that you can write about anything you like on these things..) Although, I promiss you will not read anything like that here... as far as I know...Mika?

Was trying to figure out if I was going to write this in english or swedish.. writing in swedish would ofcourse be easy.. but then agin it might be hard to understand for some..
So beeing the little green guy that I am, a bear of his words, you´ll just have to put up with my swenglish :)

I have soooo much to tell, but from what I´ve learned from reading some other blogs, its better to write short and update alot then writing your life story all at once..

But if you miss me (us) in between blogs and news you´ll find both me and Mika on facebook =)

Got to run, have alot to do before tomorrow.. tell you all about it later - bears promiss
